But alas, while I did enjoy Derek and Jordan's story, I'm left devastatingly disappointed. I'm talking tug at your heartstrings, throw your panties across the room, glued to your kindle and forget about the real world potential. This book had some SERIOUS 5 star potential. I hate to start a review of a book I actually enjoyed with something negative, but right off the bat I feel like I need to get this off my chest. I actually quite like time jumps and a story that spans over many years(that's actually one of my favourite things ).But it totally didn't work for me here.ĭue to the time jumps I really wasn't invested in their relationship.I wanted to read about them both being desperate/pining for each other.Īnd,I'm sorry to say,I wasn't feeling the sexual chemistry between them.Individually they were great characters but for me I only felt friendship between them. The constant push and pull between them had me exhausted. Their sexual relationship doesn't start until Derek has graduated and this is where things started to wrong for me. with Jordan wanting to help Derek without crossing that inevitable line. The attraction between them is obvious.Derek makes it very clear what he wants.Jordan is very aware of the whole Professor/Student thing and tries to stay professional. They meet on the first day of college.Jordan is the Professor.Derek is the student.Sparks fly immediately between them.ĭerek has the whole broody bad boy thing going on.Jordan is flamboyant,arrogant and definitely a force to be reckoned with.I absolutely LOVED his character. So Derek and Jordan were introduced in Finley and I was dying to know the dynamics of their relationship. This is one of the first Authors who got me into M/M books and I've enjoyed everything I've read by her.I went into this one expecting to love it but ended up just liking it.
